Paul’s Letters to the Churches

We’re excited to announce our next sermon series, which will take us from Fall 2026 through Spring 2027. Starting Sunday, September 13, Pastors Michelle and Jacob will be taking us on an epic journey through Paul’s letters to the churches.

What can we expect from this series? Well, Paul wrote nine letters to congregations around the Roman Empire, full of theology, practical advice, and insights into his life as a missionary. Usually, when we hear a sermon from these letters, it focuses on just a few verses. But what if, instead, we were to go through the letters systematically, looking for the bigger questions that Paul is asking? And when we really dig into those questions and the answers Paul gives to them, how will it change our lives?

For 22 weeks, we’ll be going everywhere Paul goes. We’ll start with the earliest letter we have (most people think it’s Galatians); continue through 1-2 Thessalonians, 1-2 Corinthians, and Romans; and conclude with the “prison letters” of Philippians, Colossians, and Ephesians. Along the way, we’ll be learning about the world Paul lives in, the dangerous life he’s leading, and how his thinking develops as he sees more and more of what God is doing.

Of course, we’ll take a break for Advent and Christmas (when we plan to do a series on God’s holiness), and for Lent and Easter. But other than that, we’ll be with Paul, which should take us all the way into May. We can’t wait!
