Summer Fete Photos

On Saturday, August 16, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, this church threw a rockin’ party. Folks came to our corner of Spring Garden Street and Mount Pleasant Avenue from all over Ambler and beyond. A lot of them were children. They bought raffle tickets, they ate hot dogs, they got their faces painted, they got balloon animals, they blew bubbles, they squirted water guns, they drew with chalk on the parking lot, they bounced balls, they shot rockets, and they slid. Oh my did they slide. And all the proceeds went to the Ambler Community Fridge.

Special thanks to Randy, Pastor Michelle, and the rest of the Community Fridge Steering Committee for all the work they put into this. And to Chuck’s Garage for letting us use their inflatable water slide free of charge. And to Judy Tudy for coming in clown costume to make balloon animals for us free of charge. And to all of you who showed up and had fun. For more, check out our photos below.

Judy Tudy—neighbor, clown, and balloon artist extraordinaire—arrives in style. Pastor Michelle is in awe.

Did that small child really draw that butterfly? We don’t know, but we like to think she did.
The face-painting booth is hoppin’.
